Health Huber and Intake

The Health Services Unit handles medical, mental-health, dental, eye, and diet-modification issues. People reporting with medical issues or medications should complete the county's Confidential Information Release Authorization and Medical Pre-Booking forms and return them to HSU/Jail at least 3 business days before the report-in date. Prescription medication must be current, properly labeled, and in the original pharmacy container. Multiple medications in one container are not allowed.

Manitowoc County cites Wis. Stat. 303.08 for Huber privileges, but in-custody Huber has been suspended since 2020. Huber-law inmates are encouraged to apply for the Electronic Monitoring Program. EMP applications are required 3 weeks before sentencing for immediate report, court-ordered report date, or transfer in or out of Manitowoc County.
